Background
A major construction enterprise needed to consolidate data from disconnected health and safety, finance and monthly project-reporting systems. The organisation required a governed and scalable data platform that could support operational reporting, executive decision-making and future analytics development.
Challenges
- Data was siloed across disconnected health and safety, finance and monthly project-reporting systems
- There was no consistent medallion architecture
- Data quality and transformation practices differed between sources
- Data pipeline changes were risky and insufficiently documented
- No standard CI/CD, code-review or version-control process was in place
